Professor, NNF Laureate Investigator

Van Aalten’s research focuses on the role of O-GlcNAc in neurodevelopmental and neurodegenerative diseases. He also studies: Biochemistry, Transferase, Serine, Gene, Cell biology.
Van Aalten’s lab uses an interdisciplinary approach to research. The lab has won the ScotPEN Wellcome Engagement Award for a project on the role of science and lifestyle.
